Just like many things these days, stamping has taken a digital turn. I’ll admit it, at first, I thought to my self…digital stamp? Don’t you mean clip art? Well, sure. Its more printing out an image than stamping, but if you give it a chance, you may just find it’s fun and creative. And, the best part is that the possibilities are endless as far as images go. And, although there are many digi-stamps you have to purchase, there are also TONS you can find for free. All of my samples are using free images I downloaded from the web. (freedigitalstamps.blogspot.com is a great site to find all sorts of free images…all of the images I used for this tutorial are from that blog.)
To use a digital stamp, just open the image into your photo editing program or word processing program and print. With digital stamps, you can choose your own size! It can be printed as large or as small as you need it for your project! It can also be flipped so you can get a mirror image of the stamp, which, can you count how many times you wished your stamps faced both directions?
Just like regular stamping, you can use a variety of techniques with digital stamps. For these cards, I printed the image onto Brilliant White cardstock and colored it with markers. Super simple and super cute. In addition to markers, pens, pencils, and even paints could be used to color your images.

Another idea is to paper piece your digi-stamps. This is also an easy technique, however, it does require printing on multiple colors of cardstock. I tend to create card sets when I do this to limit paper waste. If I can fit 6 images on one sheet of paper, then I make six identical cards. I printed and cut the elephant using grey prismatic cardstock and the other elements from white
